Such notice and such hearing were all in conformity with the Municipal Annexation Act of 1963, Article 970a, Vernon's Annotated Texas Statutes. Section 4. The City Commission of the City of La Porte hereby institutes annexation proceedings as to the fOllowing described territory, and the same is hereby declared annexed to the City of La Porte, Texas, and the boundary limits of the City of La Porte, Texas, be, and the same are hereby, extended to include the following described territory within the City Limits of the City of La Porte, and the same shall .' hereafter be included within the territorial limits of the City of La Porte, and the inhabitants thereof shall hereafter be entitled to al1..rights and privileges of other citizens of the City of La Porte, and they shall be bound by the acts, ordinances, resolutions and regulations of the City of La Porte. The territory to be so annexed is the same territory as described in said Ordinance No. 900, and the territory to be so annexed is more particularly described as follows, to-wit: .' BEING a tract of land out of the Johnson Hunter Survey A-35 and the W. P. Harris Survey A-30 and being more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINN~NG at the intersection of the North right-of- way line of West "0" Street said line also being the South line of the existing city limits of the City of La Porte with the East right-of-way line of new State Highway No. 146;' . THENCE in a Southerly direction with the East right- of-way line of new State Highway No. 146 to its intersection with the North city limits of the City of Shoreacres for a point; THENCE West with the North city limit line of the City of Shoreacres over and across new State Highway No. 146 to its intersection with the West right-of-way line of new State Highway No. 146 for a point; THENCE in a Northerly direction with the West right- of-way line of new State Highway No. 146 to its inter- section with the North right-of-way line of West "0" Street said point also being in the South city limit of the City of La Porte for a point; .. THENCE East with the South city limit of the City of La Porte and the North right-of-way line of West "0" Street over and across new State Highway No. 146 to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
