<br />.... <br />'- <br /> <br />-. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 9l5-K-(A) <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING A PERMIT GRANTED UNDER SECTION l8-A-3 OF <br />ORDINANCE NO. 915, "PIPELINE TRANSPORTATION," BEING CHAPTER <br />l8-A OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS: <br />AND APPROVING THE APPLICATION OF CONOCO, INC., SUCCESSOR TO <br />CONTINENTAL OIL COMPANY, DATED AUGUST 2, 1985, FOR THE AMENDMENT <br />OF THE PERMIT GRANTED UNDER ORDINANCE 915-K ON SEPTEMBER 20, <br />1978, TO TRANSPORT ETHYLENE, OIL, GAS, AND THE PRODUCTS AND <br />BY-PRODUCTS THEREOF, INCLUDING ETHYLENE, ETHANE AND NATURAL GAS <br />THROUGH SUCH PIPELINE: AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE: <br /> <br />Section 1. The City Council of the City of La Porte has <br /> <br />received an application dated August 2, 1985, from Conoco, Inc., <br /> <br />Successor to Continental Oil Company, requesting an amendment <br /> <br />to its permit under Section l8-A-3 of Ordinance No. 915, being <br /> <br />Chapter l8-A of the Code of Ordinances of the City of La Porte, <br /> <br />which permit was granted by Ordinance 915-K, passed and approved <br /> <br />on September 20, 1978, to expand the allowable products to be <br /> <br />transported through its eight inch (8") and six inch (6") pipe- <br /> <br />lines crossing the City of La Porte, to include oil, gas, and <br /> <br />the products and by-products thereof, including ethylene, ethane, <br /> <br />and natural gasoline, all as shown on said application. The <br /> <br />application of Conoco, Inc., has been reviewed by the City's <br /> <br />Director of Public Works, who had found that said application <br /> <br />meets all requirements of said Ordinance No. 915, and has re- <br /> <br />commended its approval. <br />Section 2. The City Council of the City of La Porte <br /> <br />hereby approves the application of Conoco, Inc., dated August <br /> <br />2, 1985, to amend its permit, and this Ordinance shall con- <br /> <br />stitute a permit to Conoco, Inc., to operate a six inch (6") <br /> <br />and an eight inch (8") pipel ine, to transport oil, gas, and <br /> <br />the products and by-products thereof, including ethylene, ethane, <br /> <br />and natural gasoline. <br />
