<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 915-KK <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A PERMIT UNDER SECTION 18-a-3 OF ORDINANCE NO. <br />915, "PIPELINE TRANSPORTATION," BEING CHAPTER 18-A OF THE CODE OF <br />ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS, DATED NOVEMBER 25, 1975, <br />TO CONSTRUCT AN 8-INCH PIPE LINE FOR THE TRANSPORTATION OF ETHYLENE; <br />AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAPORTE: <br />section 1. The City Council of the City of La Porte has <br />received an application dated April 24, 1993, from MOBIL CHEMICAL <br />COMPANY, requesting a permit under section 18-A-3 of Ordinance 915, <br />being Chapter 18-A of the Code of Ordinances of the City of La <br />Porte, to construct and operate its 8-inch pipe line for the <br />transportation of ETHYLENE, crossing the City of La Porte, all as <br />shown on said application. The application of MOBIL CHEMICAL <br />COMPANY has been reviewed by the city's Director of Public Works, <br />who has found that said application meets all requirements of said <br />Ordinance No. 915, and has recommended its approval. <br />section 2. The City Council of the City of La Porte hereby <br />approves the applicaton of MOBIL CHEMICAL COMPANY, dated April 24, <br />1993, and this Ordinance shall constitute a permit to MOBIL CHEMICAL <br />COMPANY to operate said pipe line within the City of La Porte, all <br />in conformance with the requirements of said Ordinance No. 915, <br />contingent upon its filing with the City of La Porte prior to <br />commencement of construction, copies of its permits from the Texas <br />Department of Heghways and Transportation; Harris county; and the <br />Harris County Flood Control District. Any future relocation of the <br />pipeline herein permitted, within the City, State, or County rights- <br />of-way, shall be at the sole expense of permittee. <br />section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect <br /> <br />from and after its passage and approval. <br />
