<br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 97-915-00 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A PERMIT ONDER SECTION 18-a-3 OF ORDINANCE <br />NO. 915, "PIPELINE TRANSPORTATION", BEING CHAPTER 18-A OF THE CODE <br />OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS, DATED NOVEMBER 25, <br />1975, TO CONSTRUCT A 4.5-INCH PIPE LINE FOR THE TRANSPORTATION OF <br />ANHYDROUS AMMONIA, AND AN 18-INCH PIPE LINE FOR THE TRANSPORTATION <br />OF ANHYDROUS HYDROGEN CHLORIDE; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE: <br /> <br />section 1. <br /> <br />The city Council of the City of La Porte has <br /> <br />received an application dated September 17, 1997, from ARCO PIPE <br />LINE COMPANY, requesting a permit under section 18-A-3 of Ordinance <br /> <br />915, being Chapter 18-A of the Code of Ordinances of the City of La <br /> <br />Porte, to construct and operate its 4.5-inch pipe line for the <br />transportation of ANHYDROUS AMMONIA and its 18-inch pipe line for <br />the transportation of ANHYDROUS HYDROGEN CHLORIDE, crossing the <br /> <br />City of La Porte, all as shown on said application. The <br /> <br />application of ARCO PIPE LINE COMPANY has been reviewed by the <br />City's Director of Public Works, who has found that said <br /> <br />application meets all requirements of said Ordinance No. 915, and <br />has recommended its approval. <br /> <br />section 2. The City Council of the City of La Porte hereby <br />approves the application of ARCO PIPE LINE COMPANY, dated September <br />17, 1997, and this Ordinance shall constitute a permit to ARCO PIPE <br /> <br />LINE COMPANY to operate said pipe lines within the City of La <br /> <br />Porte, all in conformance with the requirements of Ordinance No. <br /> <br />915, contingent upon its filing with the City of La Porte prior to <br /> <br />commencement of construction, copies of its permits from the Texas <br />Department of Highways and Transportation; Harris County; and the <br /> <br />Harris County Flood Control District. Any future relocation of the <br />pipe lines herein permitted, within the City, State, or County <br /> <br />rights-of-way, shall be at the sole expense of permittee. <br />
