<br />. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />ORDZNANCE NO. 96-915-NN <br /> <br />AN ORDZNANCE GRARTZNG A PERHZT UNDER SECTZON 18-a-3 OF ORDZNANCE ~6. <br />915, "PZPELZNE TRARSPORTATZON," BEZNG CHAPTER 18-A OF THE CODE OF <br />ORDZNANCES OF THE CZTY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS, DATED NOVEMBER 25, 1975, <br />TO CONSTRUCT A 12-ZNCH PZPE LZNE FOR THE TRARSPORTATZON OF LZQUEFZED <br />PETROLEUM GAS AND AN 8-ZNCR PZPE LZNE FOR THE TRARSPORTATZON OF <br />ETHYLENE; AND PROVZDZNG AN EFFECTZVE DATE HEREOF. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE: <br /> <br />Section 1. The City Council of the City of La Porte has <br />received an application dated February 23, 1996, from DOW PIPELINE <br />COMPANY, requesting a permit under section 18-A-3 of Ordinance 915, <br />being Chapter 18-A of the Code of Ordinances of the City of La <br />Porte, to construct and operate its 12-inch pipe line for the <br />transportation of LIQUIFIED PETROLEUM and its 8-inch pipe line for <br />the transportation of ETHYLENE, crossing the City of La Porte, all <br />as shown on said application. The application of DOW PIPELINE <br />COMPANY has been reviewed by the City's Director of Public Works, <br />who has found that said application meets all requirements of said <br />Ordinance No. 915, and has recommended its approval. <br />section 2. The City Council of the City of La Porte hereby <br />approves the application of DOW PIPELINE COMPANY, dated February 23, <br />1996, and this Ordinance shall constitute a permit to DOW PIPELINE <br />COMPANY to operate said pipe lines within the City of La Porte, all <br />in conformance with the requirements of said Ordinance No. 915, <br />contingent upon its filing with the City of La Porte prior to <br />commencement of construction, copies of its permits from the Texas <br />Department of Highways and Transportation; Harris County; and the <br />Harris County Flood Control District. Any future relocation of the <br />pipe lines herein permitted, within the City, state, or County <br />rights-of-way, shall be at the sole expense of permittee. <br />Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect <br />from and after its passage and approval. <br />
