<br />-..- <br /> <br />-. <br /> <br />-. <br /> <br />-. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. <br /> <br />937 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING SALARIES FOR THE MAYOR AND MEMBERS <br />OF THE CITY COMMISSION; ESTABLISHING EXPENSE ALLOWANCES FOR <br />THE MAYOR AND MEMBERS OF THE CITY COMMISSION; CONTAINING A <br />REPEALING CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE ~EREOF. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE: <br /> <br />Section 1. The Mayor of the City of La Porte shall receive <br /> <br />for his services, a salary of Sixteen Hundred Eighty Dollars <br />($1,680.00) per year, which shall be payable in equal monthly <br /> <br />installments of One Hundred Forty Dollars ($140.00) each. <br /> <br />Section 2. Each City Commissioner shall receive for his <br /> <br />services, a salary of Twelve Hundred Dollars ($1,200.00) per <br /> <br />year, which shall be payable in equal monthly installments of <br /> <br />One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) each. <br /> <br />Section 3. The Mayor and each City Commissioner shall be <br /> <br />entitled to reimbursement of such actual and reasonable expenses <br /> <br />which they may incur in the discharge of their respective duties. <br />The Mayor and City Commissioners shall file with the Director <br /> <br />of Finance from time to time, an itemized accounting of such <br /> <br />expenses. Provided, however, the City of La Porte shall not <br /> <br />be obligated to reimburse such expenses in an amount to exceed, <br /> <br />in the case of the Mayor, One Hundred Fifty <br /> <br />Dollars <br /> <br />($ 150.. 00 <br /> <br />per month, and in the case of each City Commis- <br /> <br />sioner, <br /> <br />Dollars ($ 50.00 ) per month. <br /> <br />Fi-Ft-y <br /> <br />Section 4. <br /> <br />Prior inconsistent ordinances are hereby re- <br /> <br />pealed, to the extent of their inconsistency with this ordinance. <br /> <br />Section 5. This ordinance shall take effect from and after <br /> <br />October 1, 1972. <br /> <br />PASSED AND APPROVED, this the 18th day of September <br />A.
