<br />- <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />-- <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. ~ <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE MAKING APPROPRIATIONS FOR SUPPORT OF THE GOVERNMENT <br />OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING <br />OCTOBER 1, 1974 AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 1975, AND [EVYING A TAX <br />OF $ .92 ON EACH $100. 00 OF ASSESSED VALUE OF ALL REAL AND PERSONAL <br />PROPERTY LOCATED WITHIN SAID CITY. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS: <br /> <br />Section~l. For the purpose of providing a budget for the <br />fiscal year beginning October 1, 1974 and ending September 30,1975, <br />an Ad Valorem Tax of $ .92 on each $100.00 of assessed value of <br />all real and personal property located within;,the City of La Porte <br />is hereby levied and such tax shall be collected under and by the <br />authority of this City and of the State of Texas, and the sums <br />set forth below be and the same are hereby appropriated for the <br />maintenance, operation and improvement of the Government of the <br />City of La Porte, and the same shall be strictly applied for the <br />several purposes and in the respective amounts hereinafter specified. <br /> <br />Section 2. That the amounts appropriated and the purposes <br />for which the same shall be spent be as follows: <br /> <br />Administration <br />Airport <br />Civil Defense <br />Fire Department <br />Inspections & Permits <br />Municipal Court <br />Parks & Recreation <br />Police <br />Sanitation <br />Streets & Alleys <br />Shop-Motor Pool-Whse. <br />Fire Marshal <br />Ambulance <br />Special Items <br />Bond Retirement <br /> <br />$ 210,904.00 <br />25,200.00 <br />1,000.00 <br />77,940.00 <br />32,050.00 <br />16,545.00 <br />120,470.00 <br />296,204.00 <br />127,840.00 <br />236,060.00 <br />157,300.00 <br />9,080.00 <br />26,646.00 <br />250,246.00 <br />17'8', 37'S'. That the Director of Finance, with approval of <br /> <br />the City Commission, may transfer a sum rram one fund to another <br />item within a fund, except that the Bonded Debt Service funds <br />shall not be subject to such alteration by anyone, not even the <br />City Commission; and that a sum may be transferred from one fund <br />to another fund only on the authority of an ordinance passed by <br />a majority of the City Commission. <br />Section 4. That this ordinance will take effect from and <br />after its passage, and it is so ordained. <br />
