e e . RESOLUTION NO. 68 - 66 WHEREAS, the City of La Porte owns the following described real property, by virtue of a Substitute Sheriff's Deed, from C. V. "Buster" Kern to the City of La Porte, under tax suit in Cause No. 104,781; City of La Porte vs. C. S. Penfield, et aI, to-wit: Lot One (1), Block One Hundred Eighty-six (186), TOWN OF LA PORTE, Harris County,. Texas, according to the map or plat thereof recorded in the office of the County Clerk of Harris County, Texas, reference to which is here made for all purposes, and e WHEREAS, the City of La Porte is no lo~ger making use of the hereinabove described real property, and the City Commis- sion of the City of La Porte is of the opinion and finds that said hereinabove described real property is no longer needed for any purpose by the City, and that it would be to the best interest of the City that said property be sold to the h~ghest responsible bidder: . NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY ,OF LA PORTE, TEXAS: That all of its right, title and interest in and to the hereinabove described real property be sold to the h~ghest responsible bidder, for cash, and that said sale be conducted in the manner prescribed by Section 66 of the Home Rule Charter of the City of La Porte as provided in said Section for the sale of property belonging to the City havi~g an estimated value of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) or less; that the City Clerk of the City of La Porte be, and she is hereby, authorized and instructed to prepare and post notices of said sale 'in not less than three (3) public places within the corporate limits of the City of La Porte, for a period of at least ten (10) days prior to the date of said sale; that all bidders be required to attach a cashier's check in the amount of their bid, to their bid, said ~ check to be payable to the City of La Porte; and that sealed bids
