<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1032 <br /> <br />.' <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE WAIVING EXTRA TERRITORIAL JURISDICTION AND <br />GIVING CONSENT THERETO TO THE ANNEXATION BY THE CITY OF <br />LOMAX, TEXAS, OF THE UNINCORPORATED AREA DEFINED IN SAID <br />ORDINANCE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of La Porte and the City of Lomax's <br /> <br />extra territorial jurisdiction overlaps on the herein <br /> <br />described tract of land by reason of ARTICLE 970-A, V.A.T.S.: <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of La Porte desires to waive its extra <br /> <br />territorial jurisdiction and give its consent for the annexa- <br /> <br />tion of the territory herein defined, by Lomax, Texas: <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF <br /> <br />THE CITY OF LA PORTE: ' <br /> <br />.,.., <br /> <br />Section 1. That the herein described tracts of land are <br /> <br />unincorporated tracts of land adjoining the City limits of <br /> <br />La Porte, Texas, and the City limits of Lomax, Texas, and <br /> <br />are specifically described as follows: <br /> <br />Tract 1: <br /> <br />BEGINNING at a point on the present City Limit line <br />of the City of La Porte, said point being at the <br />Southeast corner ,of La Porte Outlot Number 472, and <br />being a point in the North boundary line of the W. M. <br />Jones Survey, A-482; <br /> <br />.'~ <br /> <br />THENCE in a Northerly direction along the East boundary <br />line of said La Porte Outlot Number 472, for a point for <br />corner, said point being in the South right-of-way line <br />of North "H" Street; <br /> <br />THENCE in a Westerly direction along the South right-of- <br />way line of North "H" Street and the North boundary line <br />of La Porte Outlot Numbers 472, 473, 474, 475, 476, 477, <br />and 478 to the Northwest corner of said Outlot Number <br />478 for point for corner; <br /> <br />THENCE in a Southerly direction along the West boundary <br />line of said OUtlot Number 478 to the Southwest corner, <br />of said Outlot Number 478, for a point for corner, said <br />point being in the North boundary line of the W. M. Jones <br />Survey, A-482; <br /> <br />THENCE in an Easterly direction along the South boundary <br />line of La Porte Outlot Numbers 478, 477, 476, 475, 474, <br />473, and 472, and the North boundary line of the W.
