Emergency permit. <br /> If permit holders under this chapter do not have the equip- <br /> ment necessary to perfect any specific task, the Chief of Police <br /> <br />of the City of La Porte or his designee is authorized to issue <br /> <br />an "emergency permit" for the performance of this task. There <br /> <br />will be no fee associated with the issuance of this permit. <br /> <br />Section 2. Any person who shall violat~ any provision of <br />this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon <br /> <br />conviction shall be 'punished by a fine not to exceed Two Hundred <br /> <br />Dollars ($200.00). <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Section 3. This ordinance shall be effective fourteen (14) <br /> <br />days after its passage and approval; provided, however, all pro- <br /> <br />visions hereof pertaining to permit fees, transfer fees and <br /> <br />other such charges shall be effective January 1, 1977.
