HOUSTON LIGHTING & POWER COMPANY Rate Schedule MSL MUNICIPAL STREET LIGHTING SERVICE e AVAILABILITY - At all points within the corporate limits of any City, which has granted the Company a standard 50-year franchise, where facilities of adequate capacity and suitable voltage are adjacent to the lamps to be served. APPLICATION - To the requirements of the City upon approved orders issued to the Company by the City, giving number, type and lumen rating of lamps to be installed. Installation, main- tenance and operation of street lights will be at the expense of the Company. e NET ANNUAL RATE - (I) For Mercury Vapor Lamps Mounted on Ornamental Standards Served by Underground Conductors (a) 60,000 lumen lamps with one lamp per standard. (b) 20,000 lumen lamps with one lamp per standard. (c) 20,000 lumen lamps with two lamps per standard (d) 7,500 lumen lamps with one lamp per standard. (e) 3,300 lumen lamps with one lamp per standard. (2) For Mercury Vapor Lamps M9unted on Ornamental Standards Served By Overhead Cond1;Jctors (a) 60,000 lumen lamps with one lamp per standard. (b) 20,000 lumen lamps with ()ne lamp per standard. (c) 20,000 lumen lamps with two lamps per standard (3) For Mercury Vapor Lamps Mounted on' Existing Wooden Poles Served by Overhead Conductors (a) 60,000 lumen lamps with one or more lamps per pole. (b) 20,000 lumen lamps with one or more lamps per pole. (c) 7,500 lumen lamps with one or more lamps per pole. (d) 3,300 lumen lamps with one or more lamps per pole. (4) For Incandescent Lamps in Service Prior tolune 2,1965 Incandescent street lighting fixtures in service as of June 2, 1965, will be continued in service, until replaced, on the rates in effect on June 2, 1965. Additional incandescent street lighting will not be installed after June 2, 1965. Amt. per lamp $162.00 $ 78.00 $ 61.50 $ 39.00 $ 30.00 $135.00 $ 66.00 $ 55.50 $ 93.00 $ 45.00 $ 27.00 $ 18.00 Adjustment - Plus or minus the proportionate part of the increase or decrease in operating expense caused by any new tax, or the revision or abolition of any existing tax, or increased or decreased rate of tax or governmental imposition, properly charge- able as an operating expense and based upon dollar or kwh volume of business done [except (a) ad valorem taxes assessed or levied by any state, county, city or special district, and (b) income taxes], levied or assessed against the company, or upon such electric business, as the result of any new or amended laws or ordi- nances enacted, or the repeal of any such law or ordinance, after June 1, 1959. . Billing - Bills will be rendered month~y for one-twelfth the annual charge applicable. This street lighting rate shall be available to railroads for the illumination of public street crossings within the city where the lamps are installed and operated in compliance with an order of the city. 7-65 EXHIBIT "C"
