<br />AN ORDINANeE DEeLARING THE POLICY OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE
<br />eONeERNING A PORTION OF THE ALLEY IN BLoeK 44, BAYFRONT
<br />ADDITION TO THE TOWN OF LA PORTE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFEe-
<br />TlVE DATE HEREOF.
<br />
<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE eITY OF LA PORTE:
<br />
<br />Section 1. The eity eommission of the eity of La Porte
<br />
<br />hereby finds, determines, and declares, that the hereinafter
<br />
<br />described portion of the alley in Block Forty-four (44),
<br />
<br />Bayfront Addition to the Town of La Porte, is not now, and
<br />
<br />has never been, open to through pedestrian and vehicular
<br />
<br />traffic, to-wit:
<br />
<br />.
<br />
<br />Being a portion of the 16 foot alley in Block
<br />44, Bayfront Addition to the Town of La Porte as
<br />recorded by plat in Volume 1 at Page 53 of the
<br />Harris eounty Map Records, out of the Johnson Hunter
<br />Survey, A-35, La Porte, Harris eounty, Texas, said
<br />portion of said alley being bound on the East by
<br />Lots 15 thru 20, both inclusive; on the West by
<br />Lots 9 thru 14, both inclusive; on the South by
<br />the North right-of-way line of East "D" Street
<br />and on the North by the North lines of Lots 9 and
<br />20 extended across said alley; said portion of
<br />said alley being more particularly described as
<br />follows:

<br />BEGINNING at the Southeast corner of Lot 14,
<br />Block 44, Bayfront Addition, as recorded;
<br />
<br />Thence, N 270 IS' W, along the East line of
<br />Lots 14, 13, 12, 11, 10, and 9, a distance of 150
<br />feet to the Northeast corner of said Lot 9;
<br />
<br />Thence N 620 45' E, across said alley, a dis-
<br />tance of 16 feet to the Northwest corner of Lot 20;
<br />
<br />.

<br />Thence S 270 IS' E, along the West lines of
<br />Lots 20, 19, 18, 17, 16, and 15, a distance of 150
<br />feet to the Southwest corner of said Lot 15;
<br />
<br />Thence S620 45' W, across said alley, a dis-
<br />tance of 16 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
<br />
<br />Section '2. The City Commission of the City of La Porte
<br />
<br />hereby finds, determines, and declares, that there is no
<br />public need or necessity for the opening of the hereinabove
<br />described portion of the alley in Block Forty-four (44),
<br />Bayfront Addition to the Town of La Porte, to vehicular and
<br />pedestrian traffic, and it is Ordered that the same shall
<br />not hereafter be open to through pedestrian and vehicular
<br />
