The eity eommission of the City of La Porte <br /> <br />hereby calls a public hearing at which all interested persons <br /> <br />shall have an opportunity to be heard upon such proposal to <br /> <br />annex the territory described above, which hearing shall be <br /> <br />held in the eity eommission ehambers, eity Hall, eity of <br /> <br />La Porte, La Porte, Texas, at seven o'clock P.M. on the <br /> <br />22nd day of November, A.D. 1976. <br /> <br />Section 3. The annexation proceeding of which notice <br /> <br />of intention to annex is given by this Ordinance shall be <br /> <br />instituted not less than ten (10) days nor more than twenty <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />(20) days subsequent to such public h€aring. <br />Section 4. The eity Clerk of the City of La Porte is <br /> <br />hereby directed to cause notice of such public hearing to be <br /> <br />given by publication of this Ordinance in The Bayshore Sun, <br /> <br />a newspaper having general circulation in the City of <br /> <br />La Porte and in the territory proposed to be annexed, such <br /> <br />publication to be made at least once, not more than twenty <br /> <br />(20) days nor less than ten (10) days prior to the date of <br />such public hearing. Additional notice by certified mail <br /> <br />should be given to railroad companies then serving the city <br /> <br />and on the city's tax roll where the right-of-way thereof <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />is included in the territory to be annexed. <br /> <br />Section 5.
