<br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING eHAPTER 8, ARTICLE II, ARTleLE III,
<br />ARTleLE IV, ARTleLE V, ARTleLE VI, AND ARTICLE VI-l/2, OF
<br />THE eODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, BY ADOPTING
<br />AND DESIGNATING THE 1969 EDITION, SOUTHERN STANDARD BUILDING
<br />eODE, WITH 1976 REVISIONS, AS THE BUILDING eODE OF THE CITY
<br />OF LA PORTE; ADOPTING AND DESIGNATING THE 1967 EDITION, SOUTHERN
<br />STANDARD PLUMBING CODE, WITH 1975 REVISIONS, AS THE PLUMBING
<br />eODE OF THE eITY OF LA PORTE; ADOPTING AND DESIGNATING THE 1969
<br />EDITION, SOUTHERN STANDARD HOUSING eODE, WITH 1976 REVISIONS,
<br />AS THE HOUSING eODE OF THE eITY OF LA PORTE; ADOPTING AND
<br />DESIGNATING THE 1969 EDITION, SOUTHERN STANDARD GAS eODE,
<br />WITH 1976 REVISIONS, AS THE GAS CODE OF THE eITY OF LA PORTE;
<br />ADOPTING AND DESIGNATING THE 1976 EDITION, SOUTHERN STANDARD
<br />MECHANICAL CODE, AS THE MECHANleAL eODE OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE;
<br />eONTAINING A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND A REPEALING eLAUSE; PROVIDING
<br />THAT ANY PERSON VIOLATING THE TERMS OF THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BE
<br />DEEMED GUILTY OF A MISDEMEANOR AND UPON eONVleTION SHALL BE
<br />FINED IN ANY SUM NOT MORE THAN TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS ($200.00)
<br />AND EACH DAY OF VIOLATION SHALL BE DEEMED A SEPARATE OFFENSE;
<br />AND PROVIDING AN EFPEeTlVE DATE HEREOF.

<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE eITY eOMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE:
<br />
<br />Section 1. Section 8-13 of the eode of Ordinances of
<br />
<br />the eity of La Porte is hereby amended, to hereafter read as
<br />
<br />follows, to-wit: liThe Southern Standard Building eode, 1969
<br />
<br />Edition, as revised in 1976, as adopted by the Southern Build-
<br />
<br />ing eode eongress, a copy of which is on file in the office of
<br />
<br />the City elerk of the eity of La Porte, Texas, is hereby
<br />
<br />adopted and designated as the Building eode of the eity of
<br />
<br />La Porte, incorporated by reference in this article, and made
<br />
<br />a parf hereof, as fully as if copied at length herein. II
<br />
<br />Section 2. Section 8-49 of the Code of Ordinances of
<br />
<br />the eity of La Porte is hereby amended, to hereafter read as
<br />follows, to-wit: liThe Southern Standard Plumbing eode, 1967
<br />
<br />Edition, as revised in 1975, as adopted by the Southern Build-
<br />
<br />ing eode eongress, a copy of which is on file in the office of
<br />the City elerk of the City of La Porte, Texas, is hereby
<br />adopted and designated as the Plumbing Code of the City of
<br />
<br />La Porte, incorporated by reference in this article, and made
<br />a part hereof, as fully as if copied at length herein. II
