HI lJ.211I7 lS B PO <br /> <br />9.00 <br /> <br />-- ^ <br />I' <br />" <br />~~. ~..._. <br />~ '. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. <br /> <br />1277 <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE FINDING THAT Sanders & Larimer <br />IS THE RECORD OWNER OF THE PROPERTY DESCRIBED AS: <br /> <br />Lot 25 Block 39 , Town of La Porte Harris County, Texas' <br /> <br /> <br />FINDING THAT SAIff OWNER HAS FAILED TO COMPLY WITH THE ORDER <br />TO ENTIRELY REMOVE OR TEAR DOWN THE DANGEROUS BUILDING LOCATED <br />ON SAID PROPERTY; FINDING THAT THE BUILDING HAS BEEN REMOVED OR <br />DEMOLISHED BY THE CITY OF LA PORTE; ASSESSING A LIEN J AGAINST <br />SAID PROPERTY; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; <br />AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of La Porte, passed <br /> <br />and approved Sections 8-115 through 8-126 of the Code of Ordi- <br /> <br />r, <br />. <br /> <br />, <br />, <br /> <br />nances, City of La Porte, providing for the removal of dan- <br /> <br />gerous buildings by the city; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, City Council has by Ordinance No. <br /> <br />1207 <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />t\ declared the building formerly located on the property de- <br />ii <br />ij scribed in Section 5 hereof to' be in fact a dangeroas building <br /> <br />and provided in Section 8 of said ordinance that should the <br /> <br />said owner not comply with the orders contained in. said Ord i- <br />nance relating to the removal or demolition of such building <br /> <br />within ten (10) days after service thereof, then the Boa'rd of <br />Inspection of the City of La Porte would enter upon the said <br /> <br />premises with such assistance as it deemed necessary, and cause <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />the said building to be removed or demolis.hed wi thout delay, <br />and the expenses of such procedure would be charged against <br /> <br />the said record owner of said property, and would thereupon <br /> <br />become a valid and enforceable personal obligation of said <br /> <br />owner of such premises, and the said'.Board of Inspection would <br /> <br />carefully compute the cost of such removal or demolition, which <br /> <br />cost would be hereafter assessed against the land occupied <br /> <br />by such building, and made a lien thereof. <br />WHEREAS,., the City Secretary has heretofore forwarded a <br /> <br />certified copy of said Ordinance No. <br /> <br />1207 <br /> <br />, to said owner, <br /> <br />by reg istered mail, return receipt requested; NOW THEREFORE, <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE: <br />
