<br />until the expiration of such agreement on the 1st day of April, 1984.

<br />IV.
<br />
<br />This contract shall become effective and binding only
<br />
<br />after it has been approved by an ordinance of the governing body
<br />
<br />of the City of Pasadena, Texas, and an ordinance of the governing
<br />
<br />body of the City of La Porte, Texas.
<br />
<br />Compliance with this paragraph shall be evidenced by
<br />
<br />certified copies of the ordinances of the cities of Pasadena, Texas,
<br />
<br />and La Porte, Texas, approving this contract and exchange of
<br />
<br />territory, these certified copies shall be attached to this instrument
<br />
<br />as Exhibits hereto. This instrument shall be executed in duplicate
<br />
<br />originals.
