, ( . e Ordinance No. 1240, Page 2 as amended) to each of its employees who was serving as an employee of the City of Lomax, Texas, on April 28, 1980 (the date of its consolidation with the City of La Porte), for the total number of months prior to April 28, 1980, during which such employee was employed by the City of Lomax. Section 2. The City Secretary is hereby directed to furnish to the Board of Trustees of the Texas Municipal Retirement System a certified copy of this 'Ordinance and such other and further information as may be required by said System to grant such prior - service credit to said employees. Section 3. The City Council officially finds, determines, recites and declares that a sufficient written notice of the date, hour, place and subject of this meeting of the City Council was posted at a place convenient to the public at the City Hall of the City for the time required by law preceding this meeting, as required by the Open Meetings Law, Article 6252-17, Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes, as amended; and that this meeting has been open to the public as required by law at all times during which this Ordinance and the subject matter thereof has been discussed, considered and formally acted upon. The City Council further 4It ratifies, approves and confirms such written notice and the contents and postingand posting thereof. Section 4.
