<br />, <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1159 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING ALL OF THE <br />ALLEY IN BLOCK ELEVEN HUNDRED SEVEN (1107), IN THE TOWN <br />OF LA PORTE, HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the said alley in Block Eleven Hundred Seven <br /> <br />(1107), in the Town of La Porte, has never been opened or used <br /> <br />as a public thoroughfare, and the public utilities now making <br />use of such alley have all given their written consent for <br /> <br />its closing; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of La Porte has <br /> <br />determined and does hereby find, determine and declare that <br /> <br />the said alley is not suitable, needed, or beneficial to the <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />public as a public alley, and should be vacated, abandoned and <br /> <br />permanently closed; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF LA PORTE: <br /> <br />Section 1. The alley located in Block Eleven Hundred Seven <br /> <br />(1107) in the Town of La Porte, Harris County, Texas, is hereby <br /> <br />permanently vacated, abandoned and closed by the City of La Porte; <br /> <br />provided, however, there is expressly reserved a utility easement <br /> <br />for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, for a downguy, which <br /> <br />utility easement is legally described as the North Twenty Feet <br /> <br />(N.20') of the West one-half (W.1/2) of said alley. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Section 2.
