<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Ordinance No. 1144A <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />, Page 2. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />"Nine (9) members at a meeting shall constitute a quorum. <br />nThe legal department shall have an attorney available <br />to advise the board on legal matters relative to topics under <br />board jurisdiction. <br />nThe fire marshal or his duly authorized representative <br />shall be the secretary of the board. <br />"The terms of all members of the board shall be of two (2) <br />years in length or until a successor is appointed and qualified. <br />nWhenever any position on the board becomes vacant by <br />reason of death, resignation, or removal, the mayor shall, with <br />the approval of the city council, appoint another qualified <br />person to the vacant position, and such appointment shall be <br />for the unexpired term of the member being replaced. <br />n The duties of the f ire code review board shall be: To <br />recommend changes in the fore code; to interpret the provisions <br />of the fire code; to hear appeals from decisions of the fire <br />chief or fire marshal; and in cooperation with the fire marshal, <br />to submit an annual report to the mayor and city council con- <br />taining a summary of the actions of the fire code review board <br />during the preceding year together with recommendations for <br />amendments to the fire code." <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Section 2. Except as hereby amended, all remaining pro- <br />visions of the City of La Porte Fire Code shall remain in full <br />force and effect. <br /> <br />Section ,3.
