ORDINANCE NO. ll34-A AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1134 VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING A PORTION OF THE ALLEY IN BLOCK ONE THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTEEN (ll13), IN THE TOWN OF LA PORTE, HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS. WHEREAS, the North fifty-nine feet (N. 59') of the North- South alley in Block One Thousand One Hundred and Thirteen (ll13), Town of La Porte, Harris County, Texas, being a tract of land 16' x 59', adjacent to Lots Twelve (l2), Thirteen (13), Thirty (30), and Thirty-one (3l), in Block One Thousand One Hundred and Thirteen (1113), Town of La Porte, Harris County, Texas, has never been opened or used as a public thoroughfare, and the public utilities now making use of said portion of such alley have all given their written consent for its closing; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of La Porte has determined and does hereby find, determine and declare that the hereinafter described portion of the said alley is not suitable, needed, or beneficial to the public as a public alley, and should be vacated, abandoned and permanently closed; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE: Section 1. That the North fifty-nine feet (N. 59') of the North-South alley in Block One Thousand One Hundred and Thirteen (ll13), Town of La Porte, Harris County, Texas, is hereby per- manently vacated, abandoned and closed by the City of La Porte. Section 2. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and approval. PASSED AND APPROVED this the 6th day of April, 1983.
