<br />. . <br />,; <br /> <br />" <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />APPENDIX J <br />WATER CONSERVATION <br /> <br />( <br /> <br />J101 - GENERAL <br />Automatic flushing devices of the siphonic design shall not be used to operate <br />urinals. <br /> <br />J102 - WATER CLOSETS <br />Water closets, either flush tank or flushometer operated, shall be designed, <br />manufactured and installed to be operable and adequate flushed with no <br />more than 4.0 gal per flushing cycle when tested in accordance with applicable <br />standards. <br /> <br />( <br /> <br />J103 - URINALS <br />Urinals shall be designed, manufactured, and installed to be operable and _ <br />adequate flushed with no more than 1.5 gal of water per flush, <br /> <br />( <br /> <br />J104 - LAVATORY FACILITIES <br /> <br />J104.1-PUBLlC FACILITIES <br /> <br />Faucets for public lavatories shall be equipped with outlet devices which <br />limit the flow of water to a maximum of 0,5 gpm or be equipped with <br />self-closing valves that limit the delivery to a maximum of 0.25 gallons <br />of hot water for recirculating systems and to a maximum of 0.5 gallons <br />for non-recirculating systems. <br /> <br />( <br /> <br />EXCEPTION: Separate lavatories for physically handicapped persons <br />shall not be equipped with self-closing valves. <br /> <br />( <br /> <br />J104.2-PRIVATE FACILITIES <br />Faucets for private lavatories shall be designed, manufactured and installed <br />to deliver water at a flow rate not to exreed 3.0 gpm when tested in accordance <br />with applicable standards, <br /> <br />( <br /> <br />J105 - SHOWER HEADS <br /> <br />Showerheads shaH be designed, manufactured, and installed to deliver water <br />at a rate not to exceed 3.0 gpm when tested in accordance with applicable <br />standards. <br /> <br />c. <br /> <br />J106 - SINK FAUCETS <br />Sink faucets shall be designed, manufactured, and installed to deliver water <br />at a rate not to exceed 3.0 gpm when tested in accordance with applicable <br />standards. <br /> <br />J /07 - #D"'- W/frtE'1t.
