<br />. . <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1523 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE REAPPOINTING R. J. BLACKWELL, DISTRICT l, LOLA <br />PHILLIPS, DISTRICT 4, CHARLES D. BOYLE, DISTRICT 5, AND KARL <br />JOHNSTON, DISTRICT 6, TO THE CITY OF LA PORTE PLANNING AND ZONING <br />COMMISSION; CONTAINING A REPEALING CLAUSE; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH <br />THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE: <br /> <br />Section 1. The City Council of the City of La Portp h~reby <br />reappoints R. J. BlackweJl as a member, District 1, Lola Philli~ <br />as a member, District 4, Charle~ D. Bovle as a memb~r, Di~trict 5, <br />and Karl Johnston as a member, District 6, of the City of La Porte <br />Planning ~nd Zoning Commission, for the term expiring April 30, <br />1988, and l~nt.iJ t.heir Sll('!('!es~ors shaJ 1 have heen duly appointed <br />and quaJifjed. <br />Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinan('!es in confJict <br />h~rewith are hereby repeaJed to the extent of confJict only. <br />Section ~. The City Council officially finds, determines, <br />reciteR and decJares that a sufficient written notice of the date, <br />hour, place and Rubject of this meeting of the City Council was <br />posted at a pJa('!p. convenient to the pUblic at the City Hall of the <br />City for the time required by law precedjng this meeting, as <br />required by the Open Meetings Law, Article 6252-17, Texas Revised <br />Civil Statutes Annotated; and that this meeting has been open to <br />the pUblic as r~quired by law at all times during whtch this <br />ordinance and the subject matter thereof has been discussed, <br />eonsjderect and formaJJy acted upon. The City Councjl further <br />ratifies, approves and confirms ~llch written notice and the <br />contents and posting thereof. <br />Section 4.
