<br />. , <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />" <br /> <br />- .' <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 26-64 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the year 1964 marks the 75th year of the founding <br />of the City of La Porte, Texas, and, <br />WHEREAS this important milestone provides an opportunity <br />to focus our attention on the growth and progress of our City; and, <br />WHEREAS there has been formed a LA PORTE DIAMOND <br />JUBILEE ASSOCIATION, INC. to carry out plans for celebrating this <br />memorable event; and, <br />WHEREAS it is the desire of the entire commission that this <br />event be self-sustaining financially. <br />THEREFORE, <br />Be it hereby known that the LA PORTE DIAMOND JUBILEE <br />ASSOCIATION, INC. anticipates revenue from such projects as <br />admissions to an historical spectacle and historical program adver- <br />tising booklet, and the sale of such novelti:es and souvenirs as <br />Booster Badges, Membership Certificates, Commemorative Coins, <br />Hats, Bonnets, Old fashioned wearing apparel plus ties, plates and <br />similar items. <br />Be it hereby resolves that no individual, company or organi- <br />zation will sell, trade or give away anything that has a celebration <br />reference or connotation without first obtaining written permission <br />from the LA PORTE DIAMOND JUBILEE ASSOCIATION, INC., or its <br />committee, and that no permits, franchises, or privileges pertaining <br />to celebration activities will be granted anyone by the City of La Porte, <br />Texas, unless such written permission is granted by the afore- <br />mentioned Association. <br />The City Commission hereby pledges its full support to the LA <br />PORTE DIAMOND JUBILEE ASSOCIATION, INC. and encourages the <br /> <br />. .- <br /> <br />-e', <br />
