<br />-; <br /> <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />City of La Porte <br />Established 1892 <br /> <br />August 17 I 2001 <br /> <br />Honorable Mayor Norman Malone and City Council <br />City of La Porte . <br /> <br />Dear Mayor Malone: <br /> <br />The La Porte Planning and Zoning Commission, during a regular meeting on <br />August 16, 2001, considered a Special Conc;1itional Use Permit #SCU 01-003. <br />The request, submitted by Fairmont Park Baptist Church at 10401 Belfast, <br />seeks approval to allow recreational activities on church property. Earlier, the <br />Commission heard testimony both for and against the issuance of this SCUP <br />during the July 19, 2001 Public Hearing on this matter. <br /> <br />After careful consideration, the Planning and Zoning Commission has, by <br />unanimous vote, recommended that City Council consider approval of Special <br />Conditional Use Permit #SCU 01-003 with the following conditions in place: <br /> <br />1. Outdoor skateboard & bicycle activities will close at 8,00 P,M. each day. <br /> <br />2. Landscape buffers shall be planted between church property and adjoining <br />neighborhood per Section 106-334{a) of the Code of Ordinances. <br /> <br />3, Drainage of th~ grassed, open area shall be improved and maintained properly. <br /> <br />4. Discarded car & truck tires are to be removed from all outdoor areas, <br /> <br />.
