e City of La Porte Established 1892 December 17,1999 Honorable Mayor Norman Malone and City Council City of La Porte Re: Rezone Request #R99-004 Dear Mayor Malone: The La Porte Planning and Zoning Commission, during its December 16, 1999, meeting, held a public hearing to consider Rezone Request #R99-004. Mr. Charles Whittenton, authorized representative for the property owner, Bernice Polly Whittenton, is seeking this request for a 0.512 acre tract or parcel of land, more or less, out of the W. P. Harris Survey, Abstract No. 30, and the L. T. Moody 14.484 acre tract out of the 200 acre W. W. Ralston tract, Harris County, Texas. The said property, tracts 1A & 2A Block A, Moody Uoyd T., is located along Sunrise Drive. The applicant seeks to have this property rezoned for the development of a single-family dwelling. On the recommendation of staff, the following properties will also be looked at as a comprehensive rezoning in order to bring the area in compliance with the City's Zoning Ordinance. The purpose of the zone change is to create a Medium Density Residential (R-2) zone for the entire aforementioned tracts, where Single-Family Residential (R-1) is a permitted use per the Code of Ordinances.
