I L/IJ L AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING A PORTION OF WEST IIKII S'rREET AND SOUTH 9TH STREET, CONTAINING A TRACT OF LAND 30 FEET BY 39.5 FEET, CONTAINING 0.0272 ACRES; RETAINING PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENTS; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of La Porte has been requested by the record owners of all of the property abutting the hereinafter described portions of West IIKII Street, and South 9th Street, containing a tract of land 30 feet by e 39.5 feet, containing 0.0272 acres, in the City of La Porte, to vacate, abandon, and permanently close those portions of West IIKII Street and South 9th Street; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of La Porte has determined, and does hereby find, determine and declare that the hereinafter described portions of West IIKII Street and South 9th Street are not suitable, needed, or beneficial to the public as a public road or street, and that the closing of the hereinafter described portions of West ilK II Street and South 9th Street are for the protection of the public and for . the public interest and benefit, and that the hereinafter described portions of said West IIKII Street and South 9th Street should be vacated, abandoned, and permanently closed; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE: Section 1. Under and by virtue of the power granted to the City of La Porte under its Home Rule Charter and Chap. 13, Title 28, Art. 1175, of the Revised Civil Statutes of the State of Texas, 1925, the hereinafter described portions of West IIKII Street and South 9th Street are hereby permanently vacated, e abandoned, and closed by the City of La Porte, to-wit:
