ORDINANCE NO. 1409 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE APPROVAL OF THE AGREEMENT DATED OCTOBER 3, 1984, BETWEEN THE STATE OF TEXAS AND THE CITY OF LA PORTE, FOR THE CONTINUED EXISTENCE, USE, OPERATION, AND MAINTENANCE OF HIGHWAY TRAFFIC SIGNALS AT THE LOCATIONS SHOWN ON EXHIBIT I, ATTACHED HERETO AND MADE A PART HEREOF, IN THE CITY OF LA PORTE; PROVIDING FOR THE EXECUTION OF SAID AGREEMENT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE: Section I. That the certain agreement dated October 3, 1984, between the State of Texas and 'the City 'of La Porte, for the con- tinued existence, use, operation.,. and maintenance of certain highway signals at the locations shown'on EXHIBIT I, attached hereto and made a part hereof, in the City of La Porte, be and the same is hereby approved, and the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute said agreement on behalf of the City of La Porte, and to transmit the same to the State of Texas for appropriate action. Section 2. That this Ordinance take effect immediately from and after its passage. Section 3. The City Council officially finds, determines, recites and declares that a sufficient written notice of the date, hour, place and subject of this meeting of the City Council was posted at a place convenient to the public at the City Hall of the City for the time required by law preceding this meeting, as required by the Open Meetings Law, Article 6252-17, Texas Revised Civil Statutes Annotated; and that this meeting has been open to the public as required by law at all times during which this ordinance and the subject matter thereof has been discussed, con- sidered and formally acted upon. The City Council further ratifies, approves and confirms such written notice and the contents and posting thereof. PASSED AND APPROVED this the 3rd day of October, 1984.
