<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1400 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE :PINDING THAT THE TERRITORY COMPRISING THE COLLEGE <br />VIEW MUNICIPAL UTI~ITY DISTRICT HAS BEEN FINALLY ANNEXED TO THE <br />CITY OF LA PORTE; DISSOLVING THE LEGAL EXISTENCE OF THE COLLEGE <br />VIEW MUNICIPAL UTILITY DISTRICT ,AT THE CLOSE OF BUSINESS ON <br />MARCH 27, 1984; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; <br />AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE: <br /> <br />Section 1. The City Council of the City of La Porte hereby <br /> <br />finds, determines, and declares that the City of La Porte has <br /> <br />heretofore, by passage of its Ordinance No. 1393 on December 28, <br />4It 1983, finally annexed to the City of La Porte, all of the terri- <br />tory comprising the College View Municipal Utility District. <br /> <br />Section 2. The City Council of the City of La Porte hereby <br /> <br />dissolves the corporate existence of the College View Municipal <br /> <br />Utility District, effective at the close of business on March 27, <br /> <br />1984. The City of La Porte shall assume all assets, and all <br /> <br />legal liabilities, of the College View Municipal Utility District, <br /> <br />effective March 28, 1984. <br /> <br />Section 3. The City Council officially finds, determines, <br /> <br />recites and declares that a sufficient written notice of the <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />date, hour, place and subject of this meeting of the City Council <br /> <br />was posted at a place convenient to the public at the City Hall <br /> <br />of the City for the time required by law preceding this meeting, <br /> <br />as required by the Open Meetings Law, Article 6252-17, Texas <br /> <br />Revised Civil Statutes Annotated; and that this meeting has <br />been open to the public as required by law at all times during <br /> <br />which this ordinance and the subject matter thereof has been <br /> <br />discussed, considered and formally acted upon. The City Council <br /> <br />further ratifies, approves and confirms such written notice and <br /> <br />the contents cLnd posting hereof. <br /> <br />. <br />
