. . e ORDINANCE NO. 1370 AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING ALL OF THE ALLEY IN BLOCK ONE THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED THIRTY-FOUR (l134), IN THE TOWN OF LA PORTE, HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS. WHEREAS, the said alley in Block One Thousand One Hundred Thirty-four (ll3 4) of the Town of La Porte has never been opened or used as a public thoroughfare, and the public utilities now making use of such alley have all given their written consent for its closing; and WHEREAS, the Ci ty Counci 1 of the Ci ty of La Porte has determined and does hereby find, determine and declare that . the said alley is not sui table, needed, or benef icial to the public as a public alley, and should be vacated, abandoned and permanently closed; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE: Section l. The alley located in Block One Thousand One Hundred Thirty-four (l134) of the TOWN OF LA PORTE, Harris County, Texas, is hereby permanently vacated, abandoned and closed by thE~ City of La Porte. - Section 2. The City Council officially finds, deter- mines, recitE!s and declares that a sufficient written notice of the date, hour, place and subject of this meeting of the Ci ty Council was posted at a place convenient to the publ ic a t the Ci ty Ha 11 of the Ci ty for the time requ i red by law preceding this meeting, as required by the Open Meetings Law, Article 6252-17, Texas Revised Civil Statutes Annotated; and that this meeting has been open to the public as required by law at all times during which this ordinance and the subject matter thereof has been discussed, considered and formally acted upon. The City Council further ratifies, approves and ,. confirms such written notice and the contents and posting thereof.
