ORDINANCE NO. 1328 AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING PORTIONS OF THE ALLEYS IN BLOCK SEVEN-A (7-A), AND BLOCK SEVEN-D (7-D), NEBRASKA SYNDICATE SUBDIVISION, TO THE TOWN OF LA PORTE, HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS. WHEREAS, the hereinafter described portions of the alleys in Block Seven-A (7-A), and Block Seven-D (7-D), of Nebraska Syndicate Subdivision to the Town of La Porte have never been opened or used as public thoroughfares, and the public utilities now making use of such alleys have all given their written consent for their closings; and . WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of La Porte has determined and does hereby find, determine and declare that the hereinafter described portions of the said alleys are not suitable, needed, or beneficial to the public as public alleys, and should be vacated, abandoned and permanently closed; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE: Section 1. That that portion of the alley located in Block Seven-A (7-A), Nebraska Syndicate Subdivision to the TOWN OF LA PORTE, Harris County, Texas, described as follows, . to-wit: Being that portion of the alley in Block Seven- A (7-A), Nebraska Syndicate Subdivision to the TOWN OF LA PORTE, Harris County, Texas, situated between Lots One (1) through Thirteen (13), both inclusive, on the west side, and Lots Twenty (20) through Thirty-two (32), both inclusive, on the east side, and being sixteen feet (16') wide and three hundred twenty-five feet (325') in depth, is hereby permanently vacated, abandoned and closed by the City of La Porte. section 2. That that portion of the alley located in Block Seven-D (7-D), Nebraska Syndicate Subdivision to the TOWN OF . LA PORTE, Harris County, Texas, described as follows, to-wit: . . . Ordinance No. 1328 , page 2. Being that portion of the ~lley in Block Seven- D (7-D), Nebraska Syndicate Subdivision to the TOWN OF LA PORTE, Harris County, Texas, situated between Lots Seven (7) through Sixteen (16), both inclusive, on the west side, and Lots seventeen (17) through Twenty-six (26), both inclusive, on the east side, and being sixteen feet (16') wide, and two hundred fifty feet (250') in depth, is hereby permanently vacated, abandoned and closed by the City of La Porte. . Section 3. The City Council officially finds, deter- mines, recites and declares that a sufficient written notice of the date, hour, place and subject of this meeting of the Ci ty Council was posted at a place convenient to the public at the City Hall of the City for the time required by law preceding this meeting, as required by the Open Meetings Law, Article 6252-17, Texas Revised Civil Statutes Annotated ~ and that this meeting has been open to the public as required by law at all times during which this ordinance and the subject matter thereof has been discussed, considered and formally . acted upon. The City Council further ratifies, approves and confirms such written notice and the contents and posting thereof. Section 4.
