<br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1473 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING ALL OF THAT <br />PORTION OF THE ALLEY IN BLOCK ELEVEN TWENTY-NINE (1129), TOWN <br />OF LA PORTE, HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS, LYING AND BEING SITUATED <br />BETWEEN LOTS SIX (6) THRU NINE (9), BOTH INCLUSIVE, AND LOTS <br />TWENTY-FOUR (24) THRU TWENTY-SEVEN (27), BOTH INCLUSIVE, BLOCK <br />ELEVEN TWENTY-NINE (1129), TOWN OF LA PORTE, HARRIS COUNTY, <br />TEXAS. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the said alley in Block Eleven Twenty-Nine (1129) <br /> <br />of the Town of La Porte has never been opened or used as a <br /> <br />public thoroughfare, and the public utilities now making use <br /> <br />of such alley have all given their written consent for its <br /> <br />closing: and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of La Porte has <br /> <br />determined and does hereby find, determine and declare that <br /> <br />the said alley is not suitable, needed, or beneficial to the <br /> <br />public as a public alley, and should be vacated, abandoned and <br /> <br />permanently closed: <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF LA PORTE: <br /> <br />Section 1. That portion of the Alley in Block Eleven <br />Hundred Twent y-Ni ne ( 1129) of the TOWN OF LA PORTE, Harr i s <br /> <br />County, Texas, lying and being situated between Lots Six (6) <br /> <br />thru Nine (9), both inclusive, and Lots Twenty-four (24) thru <br /> <br />Twenty-seven (27), both inclusive in said Block, is hereby <br /> <br />permanently vacated, abandoned and closed by the City of La <br /> <br />Porte. <br /> <br />Section 2. The City Council officially finds, deter- <br /> <br />mines , recites and declares that a sufficient written notice <br /> <br />of the date, hour, place and subject of this meeting of the <br />Ci ty Council was posted at a place convenient to the public <br />at the City Hall of the City for the time required by law <br />preceding this meeting, as required by the Open Meetings Law; <br />Article 6252-17 ~ Texas Revised Civil Statutes Annotated: and <br /> <br />that this meeting has been open to the public as required by <br /> <br />law at all times during which this ordinance and the subject <br /> <br />."... <br />
