e . ORDINANCE NO. 95- 2036 AN ORD:INANCE APPOINTING ROBERT T. HERRERA, CITY MANAGER, TO REPRESENT THE CITY OF LA PORTE ON THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE SOUTHEAST HARRIS COUNTY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL, INC. ("SEED"); CONTAINING A REPEALING CLAUSE; FINDING COMPLIANCE W:ITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE: Section 1. The City Council of the City of La Porte hereby appoints Robert T. Herrera, City Manager, to represent the City of La Porte on the Board of Directors of the Southeast Harris County Economic Development Council, Inc. ("SEED"), for the term beginning on the effective date hereof, and expiring on the _ day of , 199 ,or until his successor shall have been duly appointed and qualified. Section 2. The City Council of the City of La Porte accepts the resignation of Alton Porter from the Board of Directors of the Southeast Harris County Economic Development Council, Inc. ("SEED"). Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are repealed to the extent of such conflict only. section 4. The City Council officially finds, determines, recites, and declares that a sufficient written notice of the date, hour, place and subject of this meeting of the City Council was posted at a place convenient to the public at the City Hall of the Ci ty for the time required by law preceding this meeting, as required by the Open Meetings Law, Chapter 551, Texas Government Code; and that this meeting has been open to the public as required by law at all times during which this ordinance and the subject matter thereof has been discussed, considered and formally acted upon. The City Council further ratifies, approves and confirms such written notice and the contents and posting thereof.
