PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LA PORTE ON NOVEMBER l7, 1925, BY APPROPRIAT-

ING SO MUCH OF THE 1925 TAX MONEY AS MAY BE
NECESSARY TO PAY INTER~:ST ON SAID BONDS
ACCRUING IN 1925 Al'ID 1926, A1ID DECLARING AU

Be it Ol'dained by the City Council of the City of
La Porte, Texas, that the bond ordinance passed on the 17th
day of November, 1925, providing for the issuance of $30,000.00
Waterworks Bonds for said. City and levying a tax in payment

thereof be and the same is hereby amended by adding to Section 11
thereof I being the tax levying clause, the following words:
"It is fUl"ther ordained that so much of the 1925
tax heretofore levied by thiR Coullc,il as may be neoessary for
said purpose 1s hereby appropriated for the ptu"pose of paylng
interest 011 said bonds acoruing during the year 1925 e.nd 1926."

provision. is made for' payment of the first year's interest
and also the fractional part of a year' :r'epresented by Coupon
No. 1 of said bonds and provide for .ope year I s pro rate. of the
principal constitutes an emergency and an imperative public
necessity that the rule requiring ordinances to be read at
more than one meeting be suspended. and said rule is hereby
suspended and that this ordinance take effect and be in force
