AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE COMPENSATION OF THE THREE
ALDERMEN TO BE ELECTED IN APRIL, 1947, PROVIDING WHEN SUCH COMPEN- :

SATION SHALL BE PAID AND THAT SUCH COM.PENSATION SHALL BE PAID OUT

OF THE GENERAl. FUNDS OF THE CITY; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND I

PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND DECLARI.NG AN EVIERGENCt.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA i
PORTE, HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS:
Section 1. That the three aldermen to be elected at,
the general election to be held in April, 1947, shall receive, as
their compensation during their term of office, the sum of Five
Dollars ($5.00) each for each regular meeting of the City Council
Ii
of said Cit1, not to exceed two such meetings per month.
Section 2. That all the compensation provided for
in this Ordinance shall be paid to the proper persons, by warrant

day of each month follOWing that for which such compensation

I may be due.

: approval, and it 1s so ordained.
