<br />AN ORDINANCE GRANTING THE BAYSHORE RADIO CLUB A LEASE FOR A
<br />PERIOD OF FIVE YEARS ON THE TOWER AND ADJACENT BUILDING ON THE LA
<br />PORl'E MUNICIPAL AIRPORT: PROVIDING THE TEFMS, AGREEMENTS AND CON-
<br />DITIONS.

<br />WHE~\S, the Bayshore Radio Club desires to lease the con-
<br />trol ~ower and adjacen~ building located at the La Porte Municipal
<br />Airport from the Ci~y of La Porte, for the purposes of ins~all1ng,
<br />main~ain1ng and operating an ama~eur radio station for use of the
<br />club membera, as well as an emergency radio station, and
<br />WHE~~S, the Ci~y has agreed upon the terms, conditions and
<br />agreements of a lease for a period of five (5) years:

<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF CaM1\:ISSIONERS
<br />OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS, THAl':
<br />Section 1. The Mayor and City Clerk of said City be, ana
<br />they hereby are, authorized and directed to execute and to affix
<br />the se~ of the City to the lease contract providing as follows,

<br />~S, the City of La Porte, Texas, hereinafter called the
<br />Ci~y, has aoquired that certain airport known as Ellington Auxili-
<br />ary Landing Field ~, situated about three (3) miles wes~ of the
<br />City of La porte, Texas, by deed da~ed June 4, 1947, from the
<br />Uni~ed States of America ac~ing by ,and through the War Assets Ad-
<br />ministrator, and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the Bayshore Radio Club, an associa~ion of Harris
<br />Coun~y, hereinafter called Lessee, desires to lease the tower and
<br />adjacent building located on said airport, which is now known as
<br />~he La Porte Municipal Airport;
<br />
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, for and in consideration of the sum of One
<br />Dollar ($1.00) to it in hand paid by the Bayshore Radio Club, re-
<br />ceipt of which is hereby acknowledged, the City does by these pre-
<br />sen~s lease and demise un~o the Lessee the tower and adjacen~
<br />building located on said airport to be used tor the installation,
<br />maintenance and operation of an amateur radio station and an
<br />emergency radio station, for a period of five (5) years from date
<br />hereof, upon the following terms, agreements and covenan~s, to-wit:
<br />
<br />a. Thi3 lease is made subject to all the terms, condi-
<br />tiona and restrictions contained in that certain
<br />deed dated June 4, 1947, from the United States of
<br />America to the City of La Porte, Texas.
<br />
<br />b. Lessee shall maintain said tower and adjacent build-
<br />ing and keep same in a good state of repair.

<br />c. Lessee shall not, in any manner, interfere or hinder
<br />the operation of the airport as a CAA appro~ed air-
