PORTE TEEAS v~{EREAS, certain territory located in the extreme northwest corn,er of the City limits of the City of La Porte, Texas, and adjoining the town of Deer Park, Texas, is now uninhabited and it is not presently comptemplated by the City of La Porte to include such territory in a water and sewerage improvement program; WHEREAS, the town of Deer Park, Texa.s, is endeavoring to expand its limits and is presently engaged in an improvement program in the vicin- ity of said territory and can at this time economically and conveniently ex- tend w~icipal facilities to such territor,y and thereby induce settlement by those desirous of inhabiting said territory; WHERBAS, The Mayor of the City of La Porte, Texas, has been re- quested by the hiayor 'of the town of Deer Park, Texas, to relinquish such territory and the former has made a written recommendation unto the Gom- mission of the City of La Porte, Texas that such territor,y be relinquished in accordance with the Laws of the State of Texas; lJO\l THEREFORE, BE I'l' ORDAIN1!:J} BY TH:t: CITY C01lldSSIOn OF Tlf~ CITY OF LA PORTE: SECTIOi~ DUE: THAT, said territory, comprising an excess of ten acres in area and more particularly described as hereinafter set forth, he relinquished, and that the maps of the City of La Porte, Texas, on file in the office of City Clerk showing the boundary limits of said City be amended so as to show the true boundary of the Cit;}T after relinquishment of sllch, to-wit: BEGIy.:i'~IHG at the intersection of the North right-of-w8;}T line of "yn street, with the West line of the H. 1,.
