D. 1952, IN THE CITY ()]' LA PORTE, TEXAS, .lIND COillITSSION- :ING THE omcms ELECTED. BE IT ORDAINED by the City Commission of the City of La Porte, Texas, that on 'hhe 1st dq of May, A. D., 1952, came on to be considered t he returns of the regular biennial election held on the 22nd dq of April, 1952, in the City of La Porte, Ha rris County, Texas, for the purpose of electing a Mayar and tv70 Commissioners; i.t appearing to the I!ilayor and City Co:mrn:issioners duly assembled for the purpose of' c:onsidering such retU["ns that the aforesaid election was duly and regularly ordered by the Hayor end City Commissioners; that said election was duly and regularly held in accordance ,'rith 1m and a duly passed city ordinance ordering the same; that proper returns were duly and regularly made to the :Mayor (lIld City Commissioners as provided by laJi'T; and that at said election votes ,'rere cast by eleven hundred and ninety tht'ee (1193) qualified voters in the following marner, to-wit: F:JRJIlAYOR: Mercer D.
