UEEREAS the La Porte Independent School nistrict b,y letter dated January 19, 1950, requested the City of La Porte to protect the boundaries of the I.a Porte Ioo.ependent School District from other cities and other school districts by annex- i:og additional territory to the City of La. Porte, and -;JHE$AS' the City Commission of the G:ity of L!l Porte by Ordin.'1nca No. 387, dl~ted Septembar 13, 1949, and Ordinance No. 392, da.ted January 19, 1950, extended the boundary limits of' the aity of La Porte, Texa.s, and thereby annexed. the cdditional. t~lrritoI7 described therein, and more fully hereino.fter sat out, and m~I=E.AS' the Ia Porte Independent School District by letter dated June 26, 1952, i'1:formed the City of L3.
