AN ORDINANCE PRESCRIBING RATES TO BE CHARGED FOR
DISTRIBUTION AND SALE OF NATURAL GAS \'1ITHIN THE
CITY OF LA PORTE" TEXAS" AND REPEALING ALL OTHER
ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREl'lITH
BE -IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMPJ1ISSION OF THE CITY
OF LA PORTE;p HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS:
Section 1.
The following rates and charges are hereby
f'ixed as the maximmn monthly net rates and charges, and are hereby
a.uthorized for distribution and sale of natUl"al gas in the City of
Ira Porte, Harris County, Texas, to be applied and used by Houston
~~tural Gas Corporation" its successors or assigns.
Residential and Commercial Use:
First 1 Mcf @ $1.50 per Mct
Next 2 fJIcf @ .90 per Mcf
Next 7 Mcf @ . 75 per Mcf
Next 40 f-tcf @ .65 per Mct
Next 50 Mcr @ .60 per Mcf
Allover 100 Mcf @ .50 per Mcr
Minimum Monthly Bill $1.50
The above rates are net rates and will apply to all bills paid with-

in 10 days of date or rendition.
If bills are not paid within 10
days, gross rates shall apply" which rates shall be the above net
rates plus one cent (l~) per Ccf of gas consmned per month.
The rates hereinabove set out shall be effective and applica-
ble to distribution and sale of natural gas during all monthly billing
periods commencing after the effective date of this ordinance, unless

and until such rates shall be changed hereafter in accordance with
law.
Section 2. ' The Company shall establish and post 1n its

Section 1, of this ordinance, and may~ in addition, establish
upecial contract rate schedules for large volume conunercial or
j.ndustrial use providing other rates and charges.
Section 3.
All ordinances, resolutions, or parts
t;hereof in conflict herewith are hereby repealed insofar but only
:1.nsofar as such conflict exists.
Section 4.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in
f'orce from and after its final passage and approval.
