Whereas Joel E. Cook is desirous of making improw-

encourage such industr:lal development within the City Limits of the
City ot La Porte, aDd
Whereas Joel E. Cook is the owner of the property
on both sides of sa:fd alley; now therefore,

1. The sixteen-foot alley exteming North and South
through Block "127, Town or La Porte, County of Harris, State ot Texas,
said alley running parallel with the railroad right-of-way adjacent
thereto, from the south side of the alley runniDg east am west through
sa:fd Block 727 to the south side ot said Block 727 is hereby closed to
through traffic for the purpose of said irxlustrial development
2. Said alley is hereby closed in consideration or the
said Joel E. Cook giving to the City of' La Porte a like easement s:lxteen
feet in width along the west side of Lot Ten in said Block 727 f'rom the
Spencer Highway to its intersection with the alley running east ani west
through said Block 7'n.
