The names of all candidates officiaiiy nominated to me on or beihre that date are reflected on the enclosed "Certification of Ballot" forms. Candidates for contested positions are listed alphabetically on the ballot in the manner required by the Texas Tax Code. To assist you in the election procedw~e, I have enclosed a Certification of Ballot and a suggested form of resolution for casting your vote for the candidate representing your type of taxing unit. Ballot forms for all three types of units are enclosed to make you aware of all nominees, even though only ta%ing units of (I particular type may vote in the election applicable to that type of unit. The governing bcKly of each taxing unit is entitled to one vote for the candidate of its choice from the names appearing on the appropriate Certification of Ballot. By November IS, 1999, each governing body must cast its vote for one of the nominees, formally adopt a resolution naming th.e person for whom it votes, and submit a certified. copy to the chief appraiser. .. The vote. must. he .by..resolutioD. -The.resolution,.nr..a cer.ti.fied .copy thereof, together with the completed Certification of Ballot, must be delivered to Jim Robinson, Chief Appraiser, 2800 North Loop West, Houston, Texas 77092, or mailed to P. O. Box 920975, Houston, Texas 77292-0975 no late," than Monday, November IS, 1999. The outside of the envelope should be marked "Ballot fOJ Board of Directors. n On November 16, 1999, the chief appraiser will count the votes, declare the results, and notify the winners, the nominees, and the pr.~siding offir;ers of each taxing unit. ThoSl~ units will select their board member by adopting a resolution appointing such member by November 15, 1999, and delivering an original or certified copy to the Office of Chief Appraiser on or before December 1, 1999.
