AN ORDINANCE PR~, IDING FOR THE FIXING OF BAIL BONDS AND CASH BONDS FOR PERSONS
ARRESTED FOR VI ," ATION OF CITY ORDINANCES OR 'ANY LUOF WHICH THE CORPORATION
COURT HAS JURISD ~TION,THE ,FORFEITURE OF SUCH' BONDS, KEEPING OF RECORDS. RE-
PEALING ALL ORDI:ANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND SAVING
CLAUSE.' ~
BE IT mDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF TilE CITY OF LA PORTE. TEXAS.
THAT :
Section'l. Any 'person arrested for violation of any ordinance of the
CitYJ or for theiviolation of any law of which .the Corporation Court has juris-

dictionr may be ~dmitted to bail ,uport executing a bondr payable to the CitYr
with sufficient ~ecurity lobe approved by tbe Judge' of the Corporation Court
or the Chief of Polio:e, o'r a cash hond in an amount to be determined by the
Judge of the Corporation Court or the Chief of' Policer conditioned that he will
appear upon, the day,. and at an hour therein namedr before the Corporation Courtr
to ans~erfor th~ violation of the ordinance or law of which he is accused, and
, there to wait at-his,trialr and shall appear from day to day and from time to
time until the c~~e is'finally disposed of. Upon colle~tion such bond shall be
turned over to t~e Judge of the Corporation Court to file in his office, and

Section,! 2.. Whenever a person is bound by a bond as mentioned in tbe

sec~ion~4. A,cash hond shall be forfeited as prescribed by Section 2
of this ordinanco. When such bond is forfeited the cash held under such bond
