ORDINANCE NO. 483-A AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NUMBER 483, SECTION 1, OF THE DULY PROMULGATED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS. WHEREAS, on the 5th day of August, A. D. 1955, the City Com- mission of the City of La Porte passed Ordinance Number 483, controlling the use of the City Garbage Dump; and, WHEREAS, the present Commissioners of the City of La Porte wish to amend Section 1 of said Ordinance, Ii H \ '.\ "\ \ NOW THEREFORE: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS: Henceforth, and fro~ the date of the passage of ttls ordinance, Section 1 of Ordinance Number 483, shall be read as follows, to-wit: Section 1. That it shall be unlawful hereafter for any person, fi~n, company, partnership, corporation or associa- tion to deposit upon the City of La Porte garbage dump, located on Block No. Four Hundred Seventy-four (474) of the Town of La Porte, Texas, any trash, waste, garbage or refuse of any nature . whatsoever without having first applie~ for and obtained a li- cense so to do from the City Clerk of said City or the attendant at said garbage dump and having paid therefor the fee assessed for said license, said assessed fees being as follows, to-wit: $5.00 per dump truck load or equivalent 1.00 per pick-up truck load or equi~alent .50 per barrel or equivalent .25 per garbage can or equivalent Provided however, at no time shall it be necessary for a householder of the City of La Porte to apply for such a permit nor to obtain a permit to deposit trash, waste, garbage or refuse of any nature at said garbage dump so long as said householder is personally disposing of trash, waste, garbage or refuse of any n~ture collected from the premises that constitute his residence, if said residence is located within the City limits of the City of La Porte.
