AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE DRIVINGt OPERATING, PARKING OR STANDING
A MOTOR VEHICLE OR TRAILER ACROSS. OVER. ON OR ALONG ANY SIDEWALK OR SIDEWALK
AREA EXCEPT IN AN ALLEYWAY OR PRIV AT E DRIV EIAY j PROVIDING THAT ANY PERSON VIOLAT ,

UPON CONVICTION SHALL_ BE FINED IN ANY SUM NOT TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS
($200~00)i PROVIDING A SAVING CLAUSEj REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDI-
NANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH TO THE EXTENT OF SUCH CONFLICT AND PROVIDING THAT
THIS ORDINANCE SHALL TAKE EFFECT FROM AND AFTER ITS PASSAGE AND PUBLICATION.
BE IT ORDAINCED BY THE CITY,COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE. TEXAS, that:
Section 1. Hereafter it shall be unlawful for any person to drivel
operate, park or stand any motor vehicle or any trailer acrosst on, over or alon
any sidewalk or sidewalk area in the Cjty of La Porte, except in any alleyway or
any private driveway.
Section 2. Any person violating any provision of this ordinance shal
" / be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be fined in any sum
not to exceed Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00).

Section 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances whicb are in con-
flict herewith are hereby expressly repealed to the extent of sucb conflict.
Section 4. If any portion of this ordinance be invalid tben so much
thereof tbat shall not be invalid shall be and remain in full force and effect.
Section 5. Tbis ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and
after its passage and publication. as required by lawc
