AN ORDINANCE OF THE UITY OF LA PORTE PRESCRIBING RATES ANB CHARGES FOR LOCAL TAXI ~
CAB SERVICE FURNISHED BY LA' PORTE TAXI COMPANY,
,'WHEWEASt La ~orie Taxi Company bas appeared before the City Commission
at a hearing held th~ 17th ,day of FebruarYt A. D, 1956, at 4:30 p. M" after pub
lication of-reqUired notic~ thereof' and bas shown'that the rates and charges for
local taxi~ab service heretofore prescribed bave proved insufficient to afford
said Company a reasojable return; and,
"WHEREAS, the following schedule of rates will not produce for said
Company more than a ,fair r~'turn:

'NOW TUEREFOREr BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
J..A POlUE, TEXAS THAT:
Section l~ LaPorte Taxi Company shall place in effect the following
schedule ~f rates for local taxicab service from and after the passage of this
ordinancel' in accordance w::ith the Charter of the City:
City trip for o~e (1) to three (3) passengers
City tri, for four (4) passengers-
City trip for five (5) passengers
