AN ORDINANCE APPOINTING THE MEMBERS OF THE El.ECTRICAL BOARD OF THE CITY OF
LA PORTE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY~COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS, THAT:
Section' l.W. A. Arthur, the City Electrical Inspector, is hereby
appointed a member and the Chairman of the Elect'rical Board of the City of
La Porte, for the term of office beginning the 1st day of May, A. D. 1956.

WHEREAS! heretofore, the Mayor of the City of La Porte prepared
and submitted to the Board of Commissioners, at its meeting held on the 3rd
day of August, A. D. 1956. his proposed budget for the fiscal year. from the
1st day of July. A. D. 1956 to the 30th day of June. A. D. 1957; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners filed such proposed budget
with the Clerk ~f the City on the 3rd day of August, A. D. 1956, and desig-
nated that a public hearing on such budget be held at the City Hall at 4:30
P. M. on the 7th day of September, A. D. 1956. and caused public notice of
such hearing to be made; and
iHEREAS1 such public hearing has been held;
NOW, THEREFORE, it is ordered by the Board of Commissioners that
the budget, as prepared and submitted by the Mayor, is hereby finally approved
by the Board of Commissioners and it is hereby ordered that a true copy of
such approved budget. together with a copy of this order. shall be filed in
each of the offices of the Clerk of the City of La Porte, the County Clerk
of Harris County. Texas. and the State Comptroller, at Austin. Texas.
