(i) There is hereby levied a tax of One and 06/100 Dollars ($1.06) on each One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) valuation of taxable property in the City of La Porte for the year 19561 for the purpose of paying the various expenses of the City of La Porte for the year 19561 including street and bridge work and repairsr payment of salaries of officers and all other necessary expenses of said City. Section 2. The foregoing levies and assessments are based on the valuation of all taxable property in the City of La Porte on lanuary 11 19561 amounting to the sum of Five Million, Two Hundred Six Thousand! Six Hundred Seventy-Eight Dollars ($512061678.00). Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage. And it is so ordained. Passed and approved this the '7~ day of ~f; -I A.
