Notice is hereby given that the Clt7 ofta Porte, Texas,
otters to receive bids tor a lease tor a private automobile
parking lot on the following described tract ot lad belong:fDg
to said CitYI
The South twenty-one (21) feet of Lot No. Twelve (12)t all
or Lot No. Thirteen (13), ad all ot Lot No. FO\I1"teen (1.41, in
Blook No. Forty (40), ot the Town of La Porte, in Harris County,
Texas, according to the map or plat thereof recorded in the office
of the County Clerk ot said County, to which reference is here
made for all purposes.
Sealed bids for such lease will be received by the City
Clerk of the City ot La Porte, at the City Ball, until the time
ot sale, to be held at 4:30 o'clock P. M. on the 7th day of
June, A. D. 1957. The City shall sell the lease to the highest
responsible bidder, provided that "the City reserves the right
ad power to rej ect any and all bid,.
Tbe terms on which such lease wUl be sold are as follow 1
Such lease shall contain provisions prescrib:fDg the opera-
tions to be car.r1ed on b7 the lessee, f'Or the use or said
property &$ a private parking lot; proYid:lng for rental par-
ments, provid1Dg for proper care of the pr_isesJ provid:fDg
that the lease shall not be sold or assigned without the written
consent ot the City of La Porte, providinJ that the lease shall
be for a term not to exceed six months (6} trom its date, with
provis ions that such lease .hall remain t1 full force ad etfect
tor successive three (3) month. periods thereafter, provided
that the City shall hue the right and option to cancel said
lease upon thirty' (30) days notice to the lessee ad providing
for refund ot part of rental to lessee if cacelled before the
end ot one (1) year after its dat~; said lease shall also pro-
vide that no wrecked automobiles lliall be permitted to be placed
thereon end no overnight parking shall be allowed; said lease
shall contain provisions that the 'City shall not be liable tor
1njuries to persons or d_ages to property in, on or about the
preJIises and m connection with the operation ot said p81"kmg
lot; ad further that the lessee shall provide barriers to pro-
tect the fences OIl adjo:lrd ng properties.
