BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COP~I"IISSION OF THE CITY OF LA TORTE, TEXAS, THAT:
Section 1. Hereafter, and until the adoption of a comprehensive zon-
ing ordinance by the City of La Porte, all applications for liquor permits and
all applications for beer and/or beer and wine licenses shall be first submitted
to the City Zoning Commission for a report and recommendation before the same
racy be approved by the City Clerk or by any other authorized agent of the City.
Section 2. In the event of an adverse report and recommendation by
• the City Zoning Commission, the same may be overruled by the City Commission of
the City by a majority vote.
Section 3. The City Zoning Commission shall act promptly on all such
applications for liquor permits and applications for beer and/or beer and wine
licenses, and in the event any such application is not acted upon within ten
(lU) days, then such application shall be deemed to have been approved by the
City Zoning Commission and the permit shall be approved unless denied by the
1; City Commission of the City of La Porte.
Section 4. This ordinance shall became effective from and after its
passage and apr,roval.
