ORDINANCE N0. ~~~
AN ORDINANCE MAKING APPROPRIATIONS FOR SUPPORT OF THE GOVERNMENT OF THE CITY OF
LA PORTS, TEXAS, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JULY 1, 1958, AND ENDING JUNE 30,
1959.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LA PORTS, TEXAS:
Section 1. That for the purpose of providing a budget for the fiscal
year beginning July 1, 1953, and ending June 30, 1959, the sums set forth below
be, and the same are hereby, appropriated for the maintenance, operation and im- j

provement of the Government of the City of La Porte, and the same shall be strictly
applied for the several purposes and in the respective amounts hereinafter speci-
i
feed.

Section 2. That the amounts appropriated and the purposes for which
the same shall be spent be as follows:
Administrative Department $ 31,'726.86
Finance Department 12,478.00
Water G Sewer Department 46,881.90
Fire Department 23,209.51
Police Department 23,272.80
Public Works Department 31,x33.40
Health Department 17,543.90
Debt Service 59.410.00
$245,556.37
Section 3. That the City Commission may transfer a sum from one item
to another item within a fund, except that the Bonded Debt Service Fund shall
not be subject to such alteration by the City Commission; and that a sum may be
transferred from one fund to another fund only on the authority of an ordinance
Section 4. That this ordinance shall take effect from and after its
passage. 1
And it is so ordained.
